CHECKLIST FOR
SUBMISSION WASP 2 LEAFLET
TO OBTAIN A PASS
GRADE OR HIGHER FOR UNIT 41 IMAGE AND
TYPE YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE DONE THE FOLLOWING, PLEASE NOTE THIS PROJECT IS DUE IN ON MONDAY
19TH OCTOBER. YOU MUST MEET THIS DEADLINE AS IT IS FORMALLY
ASSESSED.
- 3 pages of mind-mapping for the 3 products
- Research slogans (3 from each of the products) explored with thesaurus, dictionary definition, word play, connection with the wasp, product.
- 3 Visual mood boards for each product – show visually what your slogan could mean
- 2 leaflets that show really good design. Answer questions in 500 words a-d
- Look at the work of David Carson, Jan Sagmeister and Kyle Bean. Describe their work. Answer question A- G.
- 3 responses – 1 from each designer
- 2 sets of storyboards of planning for your photoshoot
- 2 sets of good quality photographs to use within your chosen slogan.
TYPE
EXPERIMENTATION WITH SLOGAN AND COMPANY WASP
- At least 3 found object type experimentation appropriate to theme, ie specs to write slogan
- Produce an alphabet of letters using a found material/object appropriate to your theme.
- writing with masking tape and charcoal type
- using magazines to become text ie photomontage lettering
- 2 other techniques appropriate to your concept. Show extensive experimenting with slogans and images related to your advert idea.
- letter punch on photos, brass shim
- 2 mixed media pieces that contain stamps/insulation tape of fabrics etc collage
- characters in photomontage and carbon
TRANSLATIONS FROM
PHOTOS
- 2 sustained drawings pencil, pen etc
- 3 Food colouring and Bleach
- 2 Collage and or photomontage
- 2 sustained Carbon
- 5 compositions combining in experimental ways selected photos, wasp imagery continuing successful techniques in wasp 1 and developing ideas for leaflet.
- 3 mock-ups using alternative imagery for this leaflet
- 1 in-depth evaluation with images and answering questions on the brief with intelligent responses.
- 1 copy of your final leaflet, put together well ready for folios. Please back everything up and keep safe for folios.
